Recommended Usage:

• Indications:

  • Sexually transmitted infections (e.g., chlamydia, gonorrhea)

• Dosage and Administration:
  • For most infections, the typical dose for adults is 500 mg on the first day, followed by 250 mg daily for the next 4 days, for a total of 5 days.
  • For specific conditions such as chlamydia, a single 1 gm dose may be prescribed.
  • Azithromycin tablets should be taken with or without food, although taking them with food may reduce gastrointestinal irritation.
